Viral TikTok sensation Big AJ Befumo of the Costco Guys is making his return to pro wrestling at AEW Full Gear on November 23rd at the Prudential Center.
After dominating the social media scene by generating millions of views with his son Big Justice and the rest of his family, AJ signed a deal with AEW last month to face off against QT Marshall at Full Gear.
We recently sat down with Big AJ to talk about his AEW deal, his pro wrestling career, and his son’s potential future in wrestling. ‘
Hey AJ tell us about your deal with AEW.
“So of course, I was an independent pro wrestler for many, many, years, and then when everything happened with social media and then AEW reached out, it was just such an honor, and to be back in the ring is something that I don’t know if I ever expected, but I am very, very happy to be here”
Is your deal with AEW a one-match deal?
“I’m very happy with how everything is going with AEW. So we do have a one-match contract, but I am very much open to discussing the future. I would love to continue with AEW if that’s on the table.”

What’s your history in professional wrestling?
“I wrestled for about 11 years. Probably from sometime around 1994 to about 2005. So I was very active in New Jersey, independent wrestling, and always had such a great time, made some great relationships and it was always my goal to send the crowd home happy as a kid growing up, loving the heroes in wrestling, loving the, the Hulk Hogan and the ultimate warrior and all the good guys, all the heroes. It was always what I wanted to do was to send the kids and send the crowd home happ and that’s exactly what I did.”
Who were your wrestling influences?
“Well, I really love the style of the British bulldog Davey Boy Smith and it was very much a vision of mine to be kind of the American version of the British bulldog. So, you know, a muscular, powerful wrestler, big colors, the red, white, and blue, and I came up with the American Power Child, and then the name Eric Justice came from American Justice. So if you take out the AM of the beginning of American and the AN at the end, you’re left with Eric Justice. So I was the American Power Child. Eric Justice.”
Is it true that Big Justice’s name comes from your Eric Justice wrestling persona?
“So when we knew that we were having a boy and we were thinking of names and we were bouncing a bunch of names around one night, we’re just laying in bed, and I throw it out there and I said, what about Eric Justice And there was silence and we kind of knew he had the name.
“So from Eric Justice, Big Justice has evolved into Big Justice. Of course, he’s a big,, baseball player or home run hitter. So the name suits him.”
Are we gonna bring back Eric Justice for AEW?
“Well, of course, the American Power child persona is very, very near and dear to me. So that’s always gonna be very special, but right here and now in 2024, with everything going on with social media. I am known out there as big boom AJ. So I will be stepping into the ring as big boom AJ.”
Will the Rizzler be at Full Gear?
“Anything is a possibility. We will see Big Justice out there. It’s gonna be such an honor gonna be.”
“Wow, what a proud moment to have Big Justice in my corner. Hey, we never know. We might see the rizzler.”
What is it like to be able to share this moment with your son?
“It’s making us very happy, being a part of this is making us very happy, and Big Justice is a tremendous athlete.”
“He is such a good athlete, and he’s been in the ring a couple of times, and he’s been trying some stuff out, and he catches on quick, and the stuff he does looks excellent.”
“So, you know what? We’re taking it day by day; we’re having a great time right here right now, But I wouldn’t be surprised if pro wrestling is in Big Justice’s future.”
