UFC’s Dana White is not a fan of people getting canceled for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. In the past few weeks, we’ve seen social media vigilantes attempting to get people fired for celebrating Kirk’s tragic death.
On Sunday, White, an advocate of free speech, was interviewed by 60 Minutes of CBS and spoke against people trying to cancel others for celebrating Kirk’s death.
“I’m a big believer in free speech” “Unfortunately the most important speech to protect is hate speech…”
“I hate [cancel culture] on both sides.”
“All the stuff that’s going on with Charlie right now, I think you’re a disgusting human being if you’re celebrating the death of another human being.”
“But I don’t like trying to destroy people’s lives over doing something dumb.”

People make mistakes, people are gonna do dumb things. I don’t like trying to destroy people’s lives over doing something dumb.”

Last week, White called for unity in this country after Kirk’s death.
“You know, things started to — to feel better and get normal again and then — and then that happened. And it’s almost like, you know, it’s all starting over again. I think, you know, not just my daughter, you know, a lot of kids were impacted by this, and kids who loved and respected Charlie, and it’s just — it’s kind of hard to wrap your brain around that — when something like this happens.
“And, listen, all I’m looking for, you know, over the rest of this year and into next year is some unity, coming back together as a country, and — and stop all the infighting and the finger-pointing and, you know, just some normalcy again. Let — let this country get back to normal.”
