Last night, Connor “The Crusher” Michalek was presented the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Connor died of cancer in 2014, so his acceptance speech was given by his Daniel Bryan, Connor’s favorite wrestler.
Bryan drew gasps from the crowd when he went out of character and began his speech by saying “Everything I’ve done is fiction… It’s not real.” Bryan went on to talk about how he drew inspiration from Connor, whose battle with cancer was very much real.
