The New York Giants lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football by a score of 26-18, dropping the team’s record to 2-6 on the season.

The loss was a familiar one for Giants fans, especially since it was a primetime game, which starting quarterback Daniel Jones has won just once in 16 tries.

Jones’ 1-15 record in primetime games isn’t the only miserably mind-blowing stat that summarizes his career with the G-Men thus far, as he’s also led his team to a 2-6 record (or worse) in five of his six seasons.

“Not that it matters but Daniel Jones truly has to be the worst 6-year starting QB in the history of the NFL,” one frustrated Giants fan tweeted.

“You realize life isn’t fair when you see Daniel Jones making 40 million a year to play quarterback in New York,” said another tweet.

“Daniel Jones ruins more days than New York traffic,” said former Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin III.

The Giants selected Jones out of Duke University with the 6th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Jones has been the team’s starting quarterback every season since then, starting 66 games in which his record is 24-41-1.

Through his first six seasons in the NFL, Jones has completed 64.1% of his passes for 13,954 yards, 68 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions, while also carrying the ball 382 times for 2,098 yards and 13 touchdowns.

With the Giants enduring another losing season, head coach Brian Daboll will likely be fired and Jones will be jettisoned from the franchise, which will likely be looking to start fresh by taking a rookie quarterback in the NFL Draft.

Next up for Jones and the Giants is a Week 9 home matchup against Jayden Daniels and the upstart, first-place Washington Commanders on Sunday, November 3.
