Deion Sanders has found his starting quarterback. On Saturday, Sanders decided to give all of his quarterbacks two series each and let their performances “tell their own story.” Third-string QB Ryan Staub made the most of his performance, finishing the game with seven completions for a team-high 157 yards in the team’s 31-27 win over Delaware.
“I saw what I’ve been seeing in practice the last few years,” Sanders told Fox of Staub’s performance after the win. “This is who he is, who he’s always been. He’s a man of opportunity, that’s all he is.”
After the game, Staub spoke about his big performance.
“I just… I had a dream, and I saw something, and I just wanted to chase it. I love being here. I love playing for Coach Prime, and man, I’m just so blessed… All I needed was that opportunity, and we got more work to do.

The team appeared to rally around Staub during the game.
When Deion Sanders said the #CUBuffs were energized by Ryan Staub’s performance yesterday, he wasn’t kidding.
Just look at the reaction after the touchdown in the two-minute drill. Felt like everyone on the sideline congratulated him. So easy to root for.
