While Denny Hamlin and his 23XI race team were seemingly dealt blow when the team’s charter was revoked amid its ongoing lawsuit with NASCAR, Hamlin’s confidence is not yet wavering.
In fact, the three-time Daytona 500 winner sounded as confident as every when asked about the lawsuit Saturday at Dover Motor Speedway. Hamlin not only reaffirmed the team’s commitment to the cause, but he also issued an ominous warning to NASCAR about what’s to come.
Denny Hamlin says this will be his response to questions about 23XI running as an opened team:
“Come December 1…you will get the answers you’re looking for and all will be exposed…”
When asked about any regrets, Hamlin said “not a chance.”

Denny Hamlin Warns Of Impending “December 1st” Bombshell In NASCAR Lawsuit
“If you want answers, you want to understand why all this is happening, come Dec. 1, you’ll get the answers that you’re looking for,” Hamlin told members of the media. “All will be exposed.
“Dec. 1 is all that matters. Mark your calendar,” he continued. “I’d love to be doing other things. I’ve got a lot going on. When I get in the car (today), nothing else is going to matter other than that. I always give my team 100%. I always prepare whether I have side jobs, side hustles, more kids, that all matters, but I always give my team all the time that they need to make sure that when I step in, I’m 100% committed.”
In refusing to agree to the latest charter agreement, which 23XI and co-plaintiff Front Row Motorsports claim was negotiated in a monopolistic manner, the teams risked the loss of their charters, which guarantee a spot in all NASCAR Cup Series races.
A judge initially granted the teams a temporary restraining order to maintain their charters from prior years, but those were revoked on appeal.
Additionally, 23XI risks losing star driver Tyler Reddick, who has a clause in his contract that allows him to become a free agent if the team loses its charter. Both Reddick and Hamlin refused to comment on that clause.
Reddick reached the championship race at Phoenix a year ago and currently sits fourth in the regular-season points standings.
