Popular internet personalities Theo Von and iShowSpeed were on hand for a Vanderbilt football practice ahead of a Week 3 matchup vs. South Carolina. There appears to be no love lost between the Gamecocks and Commodores.
Quarterback Diego Pavia told the streamers to end the practice session with an explicit huddle breakdown aimed at his next opponent. It will most certainly be used as bulletin board material.
Pavia’s confidence in not lacking following a 2-0 start to the 2025 college football season. The Commodores have knocked off Charleston Southern and Virginia Tech in convincing fashion to begin the year.
The quarterback has been the star of both matchups, totaling 468 passing yards and five scores. His next opportunity to pick up a win will come in Columbia.
Diego Pavia disrespected South Carolina.
Theo Von and iShowSpeed are two of social media’s most followed influencers. Von is a podcaster that gained fame through reality television and stand-up comedy. iShowSpeed, meanwhile, is known for his live streams and gaming.
Both have a passion for sports. Von attended LSU and has appeared on College Gameday as a guest picker. He resides in Nashville and Los Angeles, spending his fair share of time in SEC Country.
iShowSpeed has expressed his love for soccer and Christiano Ronaldo. He hails from Cincinnati, just a few hours outside of Music City.
The duo took in a Vanderbilt football practice in early September as the Commodores geared up for a road trip to South Carolina.
They were asked to breakdown the final huddle. Diego Pavia’s disrespectful ask is now going viral.
‘F— South Carolina on three.’
The quarterback’s request can be heard around the nine-minute mark of the YouTube video.
“Win on three, or f— South Carolina on three, whatever you wanna do,” Pavia said. “Dang, what did South Carolina do?” iShowSpeed replied.
Ultimately, he went with “win on three.” Still, the disrespect was heard loud and clear.
Pavia’s reasoning for the explicit breakdown is simple. The Gamecocks are the next team on the schedule.
The Commodores have some added motivation to beat South Carolina given recent history. Vanderbilt has not beaten a Gamecocks football team in nearly two decades, with the last win coming in 2008.
Pavia also has incentive to take down his next foe. South Carolina served him a 28-7 loss in his only meeting against the team last year.
The signal caller was limited to just 166 yards on 51.6% passing. He posted a season-worst 96.6 QB rating in the defeat.
Pavia is eager to get a second shot at the Gamecocks in Columbia. He might’ve, however, added some fuel for the South Carolina defense as they look for a 17th consecutive victory over their SEC counterpart.
