The Buffalo Bills annihilated the Carolina Panthers in NFL action on Sunday, 40-9. Emotions ran high during the postgame meetup on the field.

Dion Dawkins and A’Shawn Robinson got into a heated exchange as players interacted on the field. Robinson had to be restrained after Dawkins used his hat as a weapon.

The scuffle was the most exciting part of the afternoon. The game was over midway through the third quarter.

Buffalo built an early 6-3 lead before ripping off 34 straight points. Carolina closed the gap with a meaningless fourth quarter touchdown. The Bills won by 31 points.

Robinson and Dawkins went at it throughout the game at the line of scrimmage. The defensive tackle Robinson recorded three stops and a half-sack.

It did little to impact the outcome with Buffalo scoring 40 points. Dawkins celebrated after the fact. Robinson didn’t take kindly to his antics.

The offensive lineman was asked about the confrontation after the game. He says he was completely innocent.

Dawkins claims to have simply repeated the score after taking a brief look up at the scoreboard. He says he then tried to shake Robinson’s hand. Chaos erupted soon thereafter.

Original video of the spat was posted to social media. It picked up after the scuffle had started, showing Dawkins throwing his hat in Robinson’s direction.

A lengthier clip has since gone viral catching the interaction in full.

Dion Dawkins and A’Shawn Robinson were separated before any punches were thrown.

The Bills will look to continue the momentum into a Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs. The Panthers hope to rebound against the Packers.
