The Golden State Warriors fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 102-97, on Saturday night. They now find themselves down 2-1 in the NBA Playoff series.
While Golden State did ultimately lose Game 3, the team did its part to cover the spread for Warriors bettors. Draymond Green made sure of it!
The Warriors entered the night as a 5.5-point home underdog. They trailed by eight points on the final possession of the contest. With about 15 seconds left in the matchup, Green was seen mouthing a message to teammates from the bench.
“The spread is 5.5,” he appeared to shout. A few moments later, Jonathan Kuminga sank a meaningless three-point shot to cut the Minnesota lead to five points.

The Timberwolves won the game. The last shot had no impact on that outcome. It did, however, result in a loss for Minnesota backers.
An immediate reaction was seen on social media. “Isn’t this a violation of the integrity rules?” one fan asked. “Gambling has ruined the sport,” said another.
“He is bad for the league,” this particular follower commented. It’s far from the only controversy Draymond Green’s been involved in this series.
The forward implied that he’s been a victim of racism after receiving a Game 2 technical foul on Thursday. “The agenda to continue to keep making me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m sick of it,” he said after the 117-93 loss.
Green was largely a non-factor in the most recent setback. He recorded two points, two rebounds, four assists, and six personal fouls. Golden State will host the Timberwolves again in Game 4 with hopes of evening up the NBA Playoff series.
