Draymond Green’s delusion truly knows no bounds, as the famously erratic Golden State Warriors forward is now taking credit for the performances of other players. Specifically, Green said he deserves credit for how Karl Anthony Towns played in Game 1 against the Detroit Pistons.
Earlier this year, Draymond Green, as he does, ran his mouth off, accusing Karl Anthony-Towns of missing a game against the Golden State Warriors because he did not want to face former teammate Jimmy Butler. In reality, Towns was attending a funeral for a close family friend who had passed away from cancer.
The two players then got in a heated exchange during the Knicks-Warriors game on March 15 (Towns posted 29 points, 12, rebounds and 3 assists in the loss, while Green had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Now, Green says, that meeting between the two players is somehow connected to Karl Anthony Towns’ performance in Game 1 against the Pistons, and he’s not shying away from taking credit for it.
“His attitude was great and I’m taking credit for that. KAT has been a different person since our debacle,” Green told Baron Davis on his podcast.

In the Knicks 123-112 win over the Detroit Pistons in Game 1, Towns posted 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. In Game 2, however, the Knicks were beaten by the Pistons on their home court by a score of 100-94, with KAT posting just 10 points, 6 rebounds and zero assists.
In the Golden State Warriors Game 1 win over the Houston Rockets, Draymond Green put up his traditional “single-triple” stat line, as he posted 4 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Game 2 between the Warriors and Rockets is tonight, Tuesday, April 22, at 9:30 p.m. EST.
