After one season as a member of the sports media — and he was seemingly *everywhere* — legendary NFL head coach Bill Belichick is heading back to coaching, albeit at the collegiate level at UNC. During his final Manningcast appearance on Monday night, the Mannings couldn’t let him go without one final parting shot.

In the closing moments of the broadcast of the NFC Wild Card round game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings, Peyton Manning was giving Bill Belichick a heartfelt goodbye, saying it was better working with him than against him.

“It was more fun being your teammate than having to go against you. I know that much for sure,” the perpetually classy five-time NFL MVP said.

Never one to let an opportunity to crack a joke pass him by, however, Eli Manning then chimed in to tell Peyton he should speak for himself, as he actually enjoyed playing against Belichick.

Eli, of course, is referencing the fact that he went 2-0 against Bill Belichick’s imperious Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Overall, the younger Manning went 3-2 against Belichick, while Peyton had a a record of 9-15 against the legendary six-time Super Bowl winning head coach. All told, it’s impossible to tell the story of Belichick’s NFL career without the Manning brothers, which is why there’s such a level of mutual respect between the trio.

With the win over the Vikings on Monday night, the Los Angeles Rams advanced to the NFC Divisional Round, where they’ll take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
