On Sunday, January 5, the final day of the NFL’s 2024 regular season, a bombshell dropped on Fox Sports as a lawsuit alleging that former network star Skip Bayless offered a hairstylist at the network $1.5 million to sleep with him was made public. In addition to Bayless, Fox Sports 1 personalities Joy Taylor and Emmanuel Acho were also named in the lawsuit.

According to the plaintiff — Noushin Faraji, who worked at Fox Sports from 2012 to 2024 and was friendly with Taylor during that time — Joy Taylor has been in a romantic relationship with Emmanuel Acho, one of the network’s on-air personalities that features alongside Taylor on the show she hosts, Speak.

Taylor has also been accused of having a sexual relationship with Fox Sports EVP Charlie Dixon to advance her career. The lawsuit  — in a section titled “Ms. Taylor again uses her sexuality to get on a show” — alleges that Taylor was planning to tell company execs that Dixon “forced himself on her” when he was “no longer useful to her.”

In the wake of the allegations, some of Emmanuel Acho’s numerous tweets about Taylor, many of them eagerly celebratory, have been recontextualized, with many feeling that their alleged romantic relationship was actually quite obvious in hindsight.

“She was blowing his socks off man,” another post quote tweeting Acho’s International Womens Day rant cracked.

“That s— had to have been life changing,” a viral response to Acho’s birthday post about Taylor speculated.

A photo of Acho on a couch with Taylor also has been dug back up from Taylor’s Instagram (she posted it September 2023), with many noting that that he doesn’t have any socks on, another potential sign of the alleged relationship.

“That public statement from Acho is gonna be funny as s—. He’s gonna use every word in the dictionary,” a viral tweet with over a million views joked.

“Emmanuel Acho ain’t said nothing in 5 hours on the last day of the regular season. Them allegations are true,” another popular tweet posted in the wake of the allegations read.

Likely on the advice of legal counsel (although this is pure speculation), neither Taylor nor Acho have made a public statement about the allegations at the time of this writing.
