ESPN betting analyst Erin Dolan has stopped looking at her DMs to avoid negative message from haters. Dolan, 29 years old, recently signed a new multiyear contract with ESPN.

Erin Dolan has been with ESPN since December 2021 and has become one of the network’s most prominent “betting analysts,” as ESPN has increasingly embraced sports betting in recent years, particularly following the launch of their own sportsbook, ESPN BET.

According to Dolan, she negotiated her new contract with ESPN by herself because she wants to be more “business minded” and have more control over her career.

She also says, however, that she’s had to turn off her direct messages on social media due to the messages she receives from viewers.

“I think no matter what, I’ll always have a target [on me] in general. I’m in a space that’s more niche than even sports is. When I was first coming up, it was so hard for me. It was really difficult, especially because I’m telling people what to put their money on. So the security side of that is a real thing,” Dolan explained in an interview with the New York Post.

“I have all my DMs off completely , like I don’t see anything. I usually don’t read anything. Sometimes I’ll see something, but I find it funny at this point…“People say, ‘She used to be thicker’ or ‘She looks so old’ or ‘She looked better before this.’… People just come for your body, and it is just nonstop… But I find them actually hilarious.”

If you do a quick search of Dolan’s name on social media, it’s certainly not hard to imagine the kinds of DMs she receives.

As a part of her new deal with ESPN, the network says that Dolan will appear on programs such as ESPN BET Live, SportsCenter, Sunday NFL Countdown and more.
