Bengals franchise QB Joe Burrow went down in practice, and we’re beginning to get reactions from the medical community.

On Thursday afternoon, Burrow suffered a non-contact leg injury during a routine play in the backfield.

Burrow would later get carted off the field, which caused fans to worry.

Former NFL doctor and orthopedic surgeon David J. Chao better known as ‘ProFootballDoc’ on Twitter, was quick to give his analysis of Burrow’s injury.

According to Chao, Burrow likely suffered a calf strain that isn’t serious but will make him miss training camp time and could linger on into the season.

Update: It appears Pro Football Doc was right, as Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Burrow is dealing with a calf injury.
