Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson got into a heated altercation at a poker table last month. In a video obtained by TMZ, Peterson could be seen throwing hands with a fellow poker player following a dispute over a hand at the Jokerstars social club in Houston, Texas.

The poker player initially landed some punches on Peterson before the ex-NFL star recovered and landed punches of his own. Eventually, the two were separated by other poker players at the table.

Peterson told TMZ that he knows the other poker player and the fight was a minor disagreement among friends.

“Me and the guy, we’re cool,” Peterson said. “We’ve known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows — and that was it.”

Peterson says that he regrets losing his cool with his friend.

“I felt really bad,” Peterson said. “It’s a situation where I kind of regret it.”

The JokerStars club did not punish either player, and the cops were informed of the situation, but are not investigating the matter.
