Garrett Wilson is now in his third season with the New York Jets and virtually all of them have been a disaster. This latest season is likely the most difficult to endure as the Jets entered the season with Super Bowl expectations.

Through the first 10 games of the season, the Jets sit at 3-7, making a run at a playoff berth all but impossible. The Jets haven’t made the playoffs in the last 13 years, the longest playoff drought in all four of the major American sports leagues.

Given the difficulties the Jets have faced this season, it’s likely that the team has looked toward their 40-year-old future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers for leadership.

Wilson, however, indicated that Rodgers has never been in this position before so he isn’t necessarily giving the team any guidance on how to get out of it.

“He’s the quarterback, he’s the catalyst, so you’re always looking at your quarterback, see what the plan is, how we’re going to attack these dudes,” Wilson told the media ahead of the Jets’ Week 11 home game against the Indianapolis Colts.

“With that said, I don’t think he’s ever been in this position before, 3-7, either, so we’re all trying to figure this thing out together is the truth of it. At the end of the day, we all have to look in the mirror, we can’t be looking at someone else.”

Through 10 games this season, his first and perhaps only playing with Aaron Rodgers, Wilson has 65 catches for 704 yards and five touchdowns.
