Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart had a message for SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey after his team’s big win. On Saturday, Georgia earned themselves a first-round bye in the college football playoffs after winning the SEC championship against Texas.
After the game, Smart took a shot at Sankey while on stage during the SEC championship trophy presentation.
“It means rest for our team that Greg Sankey and his staff sent on the road all year long. We get to take a little bit of a break and get ready for the college football playoff. This team needs some rest mentally” said Smart when asked about the importance of getting the bye during the playoffs.
This is incredible.
As Kirby absolutely rips Greg Sankey for Georgia’s schedule, the cameraman pans over to Sankey’s priceless reaction 😂

Sankey was awkwardly forced to watch Smart take a shot at him while he was on stage.
