Legendary WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71.

According to TMZ, paramedics rushed to Hogan’s home after suffering a cardiac arrest.

“Medics were dispatched to the 71-year-old WWE legend’s Clearwater, Florida home early Thursday morning … with operators stating it was regarding a “cardiac arrest.”‘

We’re told a slew of police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan’s home … and the icon was carried on a stretcher and into an ambulance.

Just a few weeks ago, rumors began circulating that Hogan was having health issues due to back surgery.

Hogan’s longtime pro wrestling manager Jimmy Hart attempted to squash the rumors and claimed Hulk was “doing fantastic.”

Hogan had just recently launched Real American Freestyle with longtime friend Eric Bischoff which is set to debut later this year.

Hogan’s final WWE performance was in Los Angeles back in January for WWE’s debut stream on Netflix.

Update: The WWE released a statement on Hogan’s death.

“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.”

“One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.”

“WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
