Illinois UFC fighter Charles Radtke, better known as Chuck Buffalo, is looking to get revenge on Canadians for booing the national anthem. Radtke will fight against Canadian Mike Mallott at UFC 315 in Montreal this Saturday.

During his media day press conference, the American Radtke said he plans to make someone pay after Canadians booed the national anthem during last month’s four-nations face-off.

“I don’t give a sh– about hockey,” Radtke said. “That’s not my gig. But what I do hold dear is I grew up on a bison ranch with my grandfather, who’s a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps, and when you all booed the national anthem, somebody’s going to have to pay for that. Somebody had said, ‘Oh, well you booed them the week after.’ Doesn’t make it right.”

“So inevitably I take that to heart because every year I would change 50 flags going up our driveway, so you’re going to see the results of it.”

Radtke isn’t worried about getting booed by the Canadian crowd this weekend during UFC 315.

“I think I’m going to be real scared coming in there. I think that’s what it might be. Is that what you expect? That’s what you hope, right? That’s not going to happen.”

Mallott does not seem interested in making his fight against Radtke a Canada vs USA thing.

“If he wants to build that extra pressure for himself or you know if that’s what he needs to do to motivate himself go for it. I’m focused on the task at hand which is a fight in the Octagon. I’m not focused on all the outside things that you can possibly focus on.”
