Izayia Williams is currently committed to play college football at Florida State. His word means nothing.
To quote Katy Perry, he changes his mind like a girl changes clothes.
There is no way to know where he is going to play college football until he arrives to campus next year. His entire recruitment has been a rollercoaster from the beginning but it is supposedly shut down.
Who is Izayia Williams?
Most major recruiting databases list Williams as a four-star prospect in the recruiting Class of 2026. Others consider him to be the top player at his position deserving of a five-star rating.
It depends on where you look!
Either way, Williams is considered a blue-chip recruit. Any team in the country would love to sign him.
The top-ranked linebacker, who recently suffered a season-ending knee injury that will likely end his high school football career, stands 6-foot-1.5, 215 pounds. He currently holds an offer from 37 different schools. Literally any one of them could receive his signature on National Signing Day at this rate.

This chaotic sequence of events started on Nov. 20, 2023 when Izayia Williams committed to Louisville. That lasted only a few months.
Williams decommitted from the Cardinals at the end of January 2024. He later visited and committed to Syracuse in April of that same year.

Izayia Williams reportedly left his family (and agents) in the dark when he made his decision to decommit from Florida State and flip to Florida as well as when he flipped from Florida to Ole Miss. That could absolutely happen again even though he said it won’t.
