20-year-old Jadyn Fielder played in his first professional baseball game this spring as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers’ organization. He didn’t take long to make an impact.
The infielder hit a moonshot home run in his first pro at-bat. He looked like a miniature version of his father in the process.
Prince Fielder played 12 big league seasons with the Brewers, Rangers, and Tigers. He led the National League in homers (50) in 2007 and RBIs (141) in 2009, making six All-Star appearances.
Fielder was twice a home run derby champ. He also won three Silver Slugger awards. His incredible power was an attribute that enthralled viewers.
The 275-pound first baseman was known for taking massive cuts at the dish while looking to send baseballs as far as humanly possible. In many cases, he succeeded.
That trait has since been passed down to his son, Jadyn. While the newest Fielder tips the scales around 75 pounds lighter than his dad, he possesses the same patented swing last seen in the MLB about a decade ago.

Fielder launched a pitch deep to centerfield in his first pro at-bat. The no-doubter easily cleared the outfield wall allowing Jadyn trot around the bases.
It was a moment of deja vu that sent a number of viewers back in time. The swing is nearly identical to his father’s. Just look at the follow-through!

The result from these mirror-image swings was the same. Jadyn Fielder is continuing a family legacy.
Not only did his father play in the bigs, but his granddad, Cecil Fielder, did, too. Jadyn is now a third-generation professional baseball player with Major League aspirations. He’s gotten off to a good start!
