Jacksonville Jaguars GM James Gladstone is 34 years old, but he looks much younger than his age. After hiring a young staff to run the team, Jags owner Shad Khan believes Gladstone and his colleagues will grow into their roles.
“Even though they might be in the position for the first time, I think collectively they’re going to have great success,” Khan said while introducing Gladstone to the media. “I think we’re all aware that they’re new, but a huge amount of the potential to really grow into it.”
Gladstone spoke about his “fresh perspective” as one of the younger GMs in the league.
“I have a fresh perspective, I’d say, a deep understanding of really the modern tools and mechanisms that are revolutionizing the sport,” Gladstone said. “The current mode of operation is in rhythm, the cadence is in place. My intent here through this initial spring is to really calibrate my own mode of operation to the current mode of operation, insert some specific efficiencies that will help me better understand our group’s insights and perspectives, and then assess at the end of this spring what types of things we can roll out into the future.”
On Tuesday, Gladstone spoke at the NFL combine, and fans were shocked by how young he looked.
