The Shitty Jacksonville Jaguars Are Building AN INSANE Practice Facility That Probably Won’t Make Them Any Less Shitty

Personally, I think it’s funny when shitty NFL franchises spend millions and millions of dollars on shiny new toys. As my dad says, “You can polish a turd, but it’s still a turd.”

Polishing a turd is exactly what the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing with a new proposal for a shiny new three-level practice facility that will always be a mixed-used community field. Basically, it’s a triple-decker of football fields that’s part of a big office/commercial development project next to EverBank Stadium. It’s called “Shipyards” (causes it’s in an old shipyard! Just like EVERY city’s revitalization project). The new Jaguars facility will look something like this:

That’s FAR OUT, as far as NFL practice facilities go. Next-level stuff. What happens when you kick the ball of the third floor field, though?

Here’s the project for the entire Jacksonville revitalization. Horray, making JAX more cosmetically-appealing!

There will also be a battleship. Cool.

And the club section of the stadium looks like its going to be neat, especially when you toss it in with the stadium’s pool cabanas/beer drinking/fist-pounding opportunities.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are like a shiny new BMW M3 with a ’85 Yugo GV engine inside. Come for the party, stay to laugh about the football.
