Jake Paul isn’t happy about the criticism he’s receiving for his upcoming boxing match. On June 28th, Paul is set to fight against 39-year-old former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

After the announcement, several people mocked Paul for fighting another aging fighter past his prime.

An angry Paul has since fired back at critics of his fight against Chavez Jr.

“Last week, Paddy Pimblett beat Michael Chandler, and the whole world lost their mind, but not a single person mentioned Michael Chandler’s age,” said Paul, through social media. “That’s because he’s still within his prime ages, the same age as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

“If people didn’t have a problem with Paddy, then why do they have a problem with me?”
