Detroit Lions linebacker James Houston went viral for all the wrong reasons on Sunday during a game against the Houston Texans. The defender appeared to poop his pants mid-contest!
An excrement-resembling stain was spotted on his uniform, leading to nationwide mockery from NFL viewers. He’s since come out to clear the air on the situation.
While chasing down a Houston ball carrier, the defender’s pants became a topic of conversation.

Viewers immediately ran with the insinuation that James Houston had, in fact, pooped his pants on live TV. He’s here to set the record straight!
Houston took to X to send a message to his following regarding the stain.
It wasn’t feces. It was Gatorade.

While Houston did his best to clear the air, not everyone is ready to buy his explanation.
“I don’t remember them making a brown Gatorade, James…”
Whether you believe him or not, there’s no denying the impact he had on the game. The Lions, who once trailed in the contest 23-7, erupted for 19 points in the second half to leave with a 26-23 victory.
Houston recorded a sack in the matchup and helped force a fumble on a late Texans’ drive.

Unfortunately, his play was overshadowed by the stain on his backside.
He’ll look to be a bit more careful the next time he’s around a bottle of Gatorade.
