For some reason, ESPN is doing an alternate broadcast featuring characters from the legendary cartoon sitcom, The Simpson’s. Apparently, Simpsons characters playing football is something that people wanted.
Prior to the game, Jason Kelce played into the bit. The Monday Night Countdown panelist signed a Simpson’s-style donut, creating waves on social media.
ESPN has done something similar to this before, as they had a Toy Story-themed broadcast last year. With ESPN parent company Walt Disney having bought 21st Century Fox in 2019, that means the Simpsons’ intellectual property is under the same umbrella as ESPN.
Former Philadelphia Eagles center and current Monday Night Countdown panelist Jason Kelce always likes a good bit. Monday was no different. Take a look.

Yes, Jason Kelce bit into the donut before signing it. That’s classic offensive lineman behavior, if we’re being honest. As for The Simpsons broadcast, here’s what it looks like.

It will be interesting to see if ESPN does any more of these special broadcasts in the future. If so, I’m sure that Jason Kelce will get in on the bit.
