Joe Budden has chimed in on the Drake filing legal action against Universal Music Group. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Drake’s team had filed two legal motions against Universal Music Group, accusing the record label of “illegally promoting” Kendrick Lamar’s diss record “Not Like Us.”

A day after filing an action in New York accusing UMG of illegally boosting Lamar’s track on Spotify, Drake’s company leveled similar claims in Texas court regarding radio giant iHeartRadio. The new filing, filed late Monday and made public on Tuesday, claims UMG potentially “funneled payments” to iHeart as part of a “pay-to-play scheme” to promote the song on radio.
But the filing also offers key new details about Drake’s grievances toward UMG, the label where he has spent his entire career. In it, he says UMG knew that Kendrick’s song “falsely” accused him of being a “certified pedophile” and “predator” but chose to release it anyway.
On Wednesday morning, Budden reacted to Drake’s legal action against UMG and ripped him to shreds.
According to Budden, Drake has made enemies by being a sack of sh– behind the scenes.
“You’ve been behind the scenes being the biggest sack of sh– you can possibly be. I’m not here to f—ing play games with you n—-. N—-s know what it is out there. That’s it. And, he’s f—-ng white, and he’s Jewish. And, he had too much dip on his chip. You have been behind the scenes hitting n—-s baby moms, sending money to n—–s baby moms. You been back and sending messages to this n—-s wife, talking sh– about f—ing, ‘Aye, but this n—-s mom died. Aye all that’s cool but where my beat at n—-a. I don’t give a f–k that your mom died.’ This n—-s been a sack of sh– behind the scenes and because he got fans and had Lucian, everybody just gets to turn a blind eye. The blind eye days are done.”

Budden believes Drake’s career is over for going after UMG.
