UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has weighed in with his pick in the 100 men vs. 1 gorilla debate that took over the internet recently. Jones has frequently been mentioned as one of the men in the debate that people would choose to fight the gorilla.
Considering the fact that the 6-foot-4, 238 pound Jon Jones is one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, has the most wins in UFC title fights, the most successful title defenses in UFC history, and is a four-time champion in the UFC, he’s certainly a solid choice to be part of the 100 man group. And he agrees.
“That’s a good pick, I’d love to be one of the 100,” Jon Jones told TMZ. “I think it’s such a funny topic though, it’s like everyone’s so serious about fighting this damn gorilla. What did the gorilla do to us? What did he do? It’s a funny debate.
“100 men definitely beats up a gorilla,” according to Jones. “When you think about the intelligence of the human being, we conquered the planet. So the animals on it shouldn’t be a problem to us.”
Jon Jones was then asked what kind of help he would need from the 99 other men fighting the gorilla.
“I would need a lot of help, but I think you get a bunch of the guys from the NFL roster, bunch of the heavier guys from the UFC roster, and we have that thing down in no time.”
“Where are you coming in?” he was then asked.
“Where am I coming in? Let me lead the pack, let me let me lead the pack. Yeah, I’d like to be a part of the first wave if we did that. It’s so funny. What a topic, huh?”
So Jon Jones is on Team BroBible when it comes to who would win the 100 men vs. 1 gorilla fight. Good to know.
