Jon Jones wants to return to the UFC just a few weeks after retiring. Last month, Jones announced his retirement from MMA amid his ongoing drama with Tom Aspinall.

“Today, I’m officially announcing my retirement from the UFC. This decision comes after a lot of reflection, and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the journey I’ve experienced over the years.”

Not long after Jones’ retirement, President Trump announced that the UFC will hold a fight card at the White House on July 4th during the country’s 250th celebration.

“We’re gonna have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there, we’re gonna build…Dana’s gonnna do it, he’s great, one of a kind…”

“It will be a UFC fight, a championship fight, full fight like 20-25,000 people, and we’re gonna do that as part of 250 also.”

It seems that the White House card has sparked Jones’ interest, as he now claims to be unretired and will be ready to fight on the 4th of July.

“To be able to entertain the country and the world at this level at the White House means the world to me.

“I’m back.”
