Jordan Seaton turned down more than $1 million to play college football at Colorado. However, the former top-ranked offensive line recruit may not return to Boulder in 2026 if this current trend continues.
The Buffaloes lost their second game of their first season without Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter to drop to 1-2 with two losses against their only two FBS opponents.
Seaton looked unhappy on the sideline. I do not know his relationship with Coach Prime or the university and I am going solely based on body language but I would not be surprised if he chooses to enter the college football transfer portal come December.
Who is Jordan Seaton?
At 6-foot-5, 287 pounds, Seaton was the No. 13 overall prospect in the recruiting Class of 2024. He was the top-ranked offensive tackle as a five-star recruit.
Most people considered him a lock to commit to a program like Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida or Alabama. His NIL offers touched six figures.
And yet, the IMG Academy star chose to play Deion Sanders at Colorado instead. It was a huge get.
Seaton’s decision proved to be the right one as a freshman.
The Buffaloes set all kinds of offensive records and won nine games. He helped to block for two players who had their jerseys retired by the university, including the Heisman Trophy winner.
This year has not been as much of a success through three games. Colorado lost to Georgia Tech in the season-opener. It lost by 16 to Houston on Friday. Six wins could be hard to find.
Is Colorado going to lose its best offensive lineman?
Jordan Seaton continues to live up to expectations at the tackle position. He is a monster.
And yet, the Buffaloes are still unable to get the job done.
Ryan Staub threw two interceptions against the Cougars after he started the season as the third-string quarterback. Colorado converted just four of 14 attempts on third down, punted six times to Houston’s one, and committed six penalties.
It was a sloppy performance and Seaton looked unhappy.
Yep. Seaton aint coming back next year. We don’t deserve him. pic.twitter.com/9TY22ckRzH

Maybe Coach Prime will get things turned around in a hurry. Maybe the idea of Julian Lewis will be enough to keep the five-star tackle from leaving. We’ll see.
The body language of Jordan Seaton seems to speak louder than words. Frustrated would be an understatement.
