Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin refuses to address his future ahead of the Egg Bowl.

For the past few weeks, Kiffin has been courted by several teams, including LSU, which recently parted ways with Brian Kelly.

Last week, Ole Miss AD Keith Carter revealed that there would be a resolution to the Kiffin situation on Saturday, the day after the Egg Bowl.

“Coach Kiffin and I have had many pointed and positive conversations regarding his future at Ole Miss, including meeting today with Chancellor Boyce,” Carter wrote. “While we discuss next steps, we know we cannot lose sight of what is most important – our sixth-ranked team that is poised to finish the regular season in historic fashion.

“Despite the outside noise, Coach Kiffin is focused on preparing our team for the Egg Bowl, and together, we want to ensure that our players and coaches can concentrate fully on next Friday’s game. This team is on the cusp of an unprecedented season, and it’s imperative they feel the support of the Ole Miss family in the week ahead. An announcement on Coach Kiffin’s future is expected the Saturday following the game.”

On Monday, Kiffin faced the media ahead of the Egg Bowl and was repeatedly asked several questions about his coaching future.

Kiffin masterfully shot down all the awkward questions about his future at the presser.

“You can just keep going, I’m not going to answer them.”

While Kiffin refuses to answer questions, it was recently reported that LSU was planning to offer him a massive $90 million contract.

It’s currently unclear what Kiffin will do, but turning down $90 million seems tough.
