And with that, Lee Corso‘s remarkable, nearly 40-year run as a host on ESPN “College GameDay” is over. Corso hosted his final episode of the show on Saturday from The Horseshoe in Columbus.

While the entire show was one long tribute to the 90-year-old legend, the biggest thing fans tuned in to see was Corso making his final iconic headgear pick.

The headgear selection, which began, coincidentally, with Corso donning an Ohio State mascot head in 1996, has become the feature segment of the show over the last three decades and will not continue after his retirement.
So it was only fitting that in his last appearance, in front of the 100,000-plus fans, Corso once again put on the Brutus the Buckeye headgear and selected Ohio State to beat the Texas Longhorns in the marquee matchup of Week 1
