Liz Cambage played six seasons in the WNBA with the Tulsa Shock, Dallas Wings, Las Vegas Aces and Los Angeles Sparks. The four-time All-Star retired from the WNBA in 2022 after signing a one-year deal for $170,000. Cambage now says she made more money in one week having an account on OnlyFans than she did during her entire WNBA career.

Liz Cambage’s largest salary for one season in the WNBA was $221,450 with the Las Vegas Aces in 2021. According to a new report by DailyMail.com, she now makes $1.5 million per year just posting content on OnlyFans.

She first opened her account in 2021 and, according to the DailyMail.com report, uses it to “post fashion-forward, artistic, and suggestive content that reflected her creativity.” That account, Cambage says, resulted in her making more money in one week than she earned in her WNBA career.

“Basketball was a part of me, but it wasn’t all of me,” the 33-year-old said, adding she is “not closing any doors, but right now, I’m focusing on building something new.”

Cambage was the cover athlete for the 2019 edition of ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue.” She is also a four-time champion in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association, most recently winning the title in 2024 with Sichuan Yuanda. She re-signed with the team for 2025 after averaging 23.1 points and 11.3 rebounds last season.

During her WNBA career, Liz Cambage averaged 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 53.9% from the field. Her season high averages came in 2018 when she was with the Dallas Wings. That season, Cambage averaged 23.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game with a 58.9% field goal percentage.

She is obviously a player the WNBA would like to have on a roster, but unless the league’s new media deal raises players’ salaries significantly, some stars like Liz Cambage and Gabby Williams are going to continue to play overseas and find other ways to make money.

Perhaps the new Unrivaled women’s basketball league will help bring some of those stars back to the States.
