On paper, the hiring of Brian Kelly at LSU should’ve been a home run, as Kelly had won big at every stop in his college career and was heading into fertile recruiting territory for the first time of his career. But, things haven’t quite worked out that way, and now they’ve taken a turn for the worse.
Following a late-season collapse that has eliminated the Tigers from the playoff picture, focus turned to keeping a star-studded recruiting class featuring the nation’s top player, Detroit-area quarterback Bryce Underwood, intact. But, Underwood flipped to the in-state Wolverines on Thursday, and fans are calling for Brian Kelly’s job.
After two straight ten-win seasons to start his tenure in Baton Rogue, LSU has struggled to a 6-4 record this year, including back-to-back losses to Alabama and Florida the last two weeks. But, fans were overcoming their disappointment in this season by holding on to the fact that Bryce Underwood could be the next great quarterback on the Bayou.
But, likely to due an enormous NIL offer, Bryce Underwood flipped to Michigan on Thursday. Credit to Sherrone Moore and staff for getting it done.
In the middle of a "SportsCenter" hit, Adam Schefter breaks the news that No. 1 2025 recruit QB Bryce Underwood has flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan.

Brian Kelly has to be fired. He's already got the team much worse than it should ever be and just lost his crown jewel

Brian Kelly likely isn’t going anywhere. He’d be owed $60 million if fired this year, and over $50 million if fired next year.
