Mavs Fan Confronts Nico Harrison At Restaurant

Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison still can’t go out in public in Texas without getting harassed by Mavs fans. Earlier this year, Harrison pulled the trigger in one of the most stunning trades in NBA history when he traded away Luka Doncic to the Lakers.

At the time, Harrison said he made the tough decision to trade Luka because he felt “defense wins championships.”

“I understand why they would be shocked, initially,” Harrison said. “But I do believe that we positioned ourselves to win now and also win in the future. And that’s ultimately the goal and why we’re here. It’s one of those things where it’s my job to make the tough decisions that put our goals first and foremost.”

“We really feel that defense wins championships, and we think the players that we’re bringing in add to the culture, which is important to what J-Kidd and I have been building here from day one,” Harrison said.

Mavs fans immediately revolted and blasted Harrison for months over the trade.

Despite getting the #1 pick in the draft, one Mavs fan didn’t hesitate to confront Harrison at Lubbock, Texas restaurant.

Other Mavs fans felt the fan went too far by confronting Nico out in public.
