The PGA Championship had one of the great Cinderella stories in golf history in PGA Club Tour Michael Block. It’s one we won’t soon forget.

Block is a 46-year-old PGA Club Pro from Mission Viejo, California at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. And, he qualified for this year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY through the spots reserved for club professionals at regional qualifiers.

He made the most of it, too. After opening with three straight even par rounds of 70, Michael Block was in the top ten and paired with legend Rory McIlroy for the final round.

The most memorable moment of the entire tournament wasn’t Brooks Koepka’s win, but it was Block’s hole-in-one on Sunday on the fifteenth hole.

And, with a clutch par on the 18th hole, Michael Block qualified for next year’s PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky at Valhalla Country Club.

Everyone wants to know when they are going to see Michael Block again, and they won’t have to wait very long.

He will be heading to Colonial Country Club for next week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, formerly the Colonial Invitational.

I, for one, can’t wait to see how Michael Block will play and be received this week.
