At one point in his career, NBA fans believed that Kyle Kuzma could be a future star for the Los Angeles Lakers. Fast forward several years, and Kuzma’s career has taken a sharp turn.
After signing a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the Lakers in 2020, Kuzma was dealt to the Washington Wizards just nine months later in a trade for Russell Westbrook.
In Washington, Kuzma’s perception across the league switched from valuable role player on a good team to wannabe star and constant meme on the league’s most troubled franchise.
Kuzma spent 4.5 years in Washington before being moved to the Milwaukee Bucks at the trade deadline last season. But things didn’t get much better for him in Milwaukee.
In Game 1 of the Bucks’ playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, Kuzma recorded zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists, zero steals, and zero blocks on 0-for-5 shooting in 22 minutes of play.
And it doesn’t seem like things are going to get better anytime soon.
Kyle Kuzma Looks Like He’s Never Held A Basketball In New Practice Video
Eric Nehm of The Athletic posted a video Thursday showing Bucks players during a preseason practice. In the back of the video, Kuzma can be seen working on a between-the-legs dribble and pull-up jumper.
Unfortunately for the now NBA veteran, he was failing miserably at both.

On the first attempt, Kuzma loses the ball before he can even take a shot. On the second and third attempts, he leaves his 14-foot jump shot well short, hitting the front of the rim.
NBA fans couldn’t help but laugh.
“You will not believe the Kuzma part of this video,” a fan wrote on X.
But Bucks fans were far more despondent about the video.
“Kuzma should not be starting. We made a bad trade. Stop compounding the mistake by pretending he’s a starter,” one Bucks fan stated.
“Just look at Kuz, man need to get his sh– together because we can’t win like this,” said another.
Maybe Kuzma magically refinds the form he had when he signed his extension in LA. But it sure doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon.
