Referee Jeff Triplette might need to get some early vacation time from the NFL because he shouldn’t be calling games after making this egregious call in the Lions-Bears game.
Watch as Triplette calls an “illegal hands to the face” on a Lions player when it was clearly the Bears player committing the penalty.
The penalty call cost the Lions the 14 yards they gained on the rushing play plus another 10 yards tacked on because of the penalty. Terrible.
