Due to one NFL writer, Lamar Jackson was denied the honor of winning his second unanimous MVP award, and that person has been revealed.
On Thursday night, Jackson won his second MVP but failed to win a unanimous vote due to one person voting for Josh Allen.
On Friday, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith blasted the voter for voting for Allen over Jackson.
That was a stupid homer vote by that individual, probably scared to go back in the locker room if he had voted against Josh Allen. That compromises everything. You have to be objective when you have a vote. And that writer — I don’t know who the hell it was — but that’s an embarrassment.”

The voter, Aaron Schatz of FTN Fantasy, came forward and revealed he was the person who voted against Jackson.

Schatz linked to an article in which he argued with very detailed stats on why he believed Allen was the better QB over Jackson.
“I looked at all this data. I tried to make the case for Lamar Jackson. I tried very hard to convince myself that I felt he was the guy. And I just could not do it. He had a great season. He’s a very good quarterback. I simply do not believe he was the best quarterback in the NFL this year, even though he led the best team.”
