Philadelphia Eagles players of both past and present were having a ball last night as the Birds beat the breaks off the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. After the game, former Eagles Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles expertly trolled Tom Brady.

As was the case with most of the games he called this season, Tom Brady had a bit of a rough night, as much of the commentary about his, uh, commentary revolved around the ghoulish look of his cheeks and him not entirely being able to hide his happiness that Patrick Mahomes’ attempt at matching his legacy was temporarily stalled.

Brady also was on the receiving end of a pop shot from Nick Foles, who famously overcame Brady’s Patriots in Super Bowl LII in 2018. After the game, Foles took to social media to point out that Brady might be a bit of a good luck charm for the Birds.

“It’s really cool that Tom Brady got to be there for the Eagles’ two Super Bowl wins! He might be a good luck charm. Have a great night!” Foles tweeted on Sunday night.

The Eagles, who went into the game as 1.5 point underdogs against the Chiefs, won Super Bowl LIX by a score of 40-22, with quarterback Jalen Hurts being named the Most Valuable Player of the game after he completed 77% of his passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and an interceptions, while also carrying the ball 11 times for 72 yards and a touchdown.
