Quarterback Jared Curtis is one of the top prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Rated by 247 Sports as a Top 10 player, regardless of position, he recently re-opened his recruitment by decommitting from Georgia.

Ohio State expects to be a suitor with the passer now back on the market. It seems he had interest in attending an upcoming Buckeyes matchup, but logistics have made that visit highly unlikely.

Curtis plays for Nashville Christian School in Tennessee. A flight from the Music City to Columbus is roughly an hour and a half. The signal caller reportedly showed interest in attending the Buckeyes’ upcoming contest against Big Ten rival Indiana. The time slot for that matchup could make things difficult.

The potential Top 5 affair could very well see No. 2 Ohio State taking on an undefeated Hoosiers squad. The game was selected as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff showcase, giving the foes an early start on November 23rd.

If Jared Curtis is still playing in his team’s high school playoffs, he’d probably have to wait until Saturday morning to make the trip from Tennessee to Ohio. It’s a scenario that seems likely to play out given Nashville Christian’s recent performance on the football field. NCS has shut out their last three opponents, outscoring the trio 135-0.

Should that dominance continue this week, it would set up another playoff showdown the following Friday – a day before Ohio State’s outing with Indiana. That could present issues!

Fans of the Buckeyes are infuriated with how the season’s played out in terms of kickoff times. They’ll finish the year with six straight noon games! Ohio State failed to host a Big Ten game under the lights, and it now seems to be affecting recruiting.

Jared Curtis is the No. 1 overall quarterback prospect based on the 247 Sports composite rankings. He wants to see the Ohio State campus after re-opening his recruitment. A noon kickoff might make that difficult. It’s only provided fans with more fuel in their hatred towards Big Noon Kickoff.
