Patrick Mahomes has found himself at the center of controversy. During Friday night’s game between the Chargers and the Chiefs, Mahomes ran towards the sideline, slowed down, and trucked a Chargers defensive back.
NFL analyst Mark Schlereth blasted Mahomes over the play.
“Slowing down and then lowering your shoulder and blowing up a DB is such bullsh-t. If I’m the Chargers, I’m saying 15 is fair game. Blow his a– up” said Schlereth on X.
Fans also weren’t happy with Mahomes after the play.
“Patrick mahomes trucking a defender but if he gets touched by a defender on the sideline he’s flopping for a flag.” said one fan.
“Mahomes has gotten so much benefit from officials in his career that he’s trucking defenders because they’re so terrified to touch him within 8 yards of the sideline” commented another fan.
Mahomes is gonna take a shot at the sidelines if he keeps trying to truck guys when they think he’s going out of bounds.
