Pat Mahomes Sr. And John Rocker Had A Heated Exchange On Bourbon Street That Many Think Was Staged

A video has been widely circulated on social media showing former MLB pitchers John Rocker and Patrick Mahomes Sr., father of the Chiefs QB, having a heated exchange on Bourbon Street during Super Bowl weekend. The video shows John Rocker extending his hand to Mahomes who slaps it away before the two share an argument.

It’s quite possible there is some past beef between these two but there hasn’t appeared to be any thing in the mainstream between them that would explain this heated argument. And the fact that the video was quickly shared by Barstool Sports has led many to believed the Pat Mahomes Sr. x John Rocker altercation was staged for a Rough ‘N’ Rowdy event at Barstool.

The account that posted the video to X (née Twitter) appears to be a burner that has also posted Barstool Sports videos in the past. Watch the video for yourself and decide if you think it was staged:

Barstool founder Dave Portnoy was asked about the video and if it was staged. He had this to say during a YouTube interview: “I don’t know, that’s why I don’t want the paperwork to get ripped up. I think it isI believe we have a signed agreement for Mahomes Sr. to fight John Rocker at Rough ‘N’ Rowdy. I think it’s 100 percent, but I haven’t seen the signed paperwork yet.”

On X, many thought it was staged:

Signs indicate this was staged, right? To go from a beef on Bourbon Street to signing a Rough ‘N’ Rowdy contract quickly to iron out that beef would suggest that it was promo for the event… But even if it was, there will be a LOT of people who will want to see John Rocker and Pat Mahomes Sr. in the ring together, myself included.

Rocker runs his mouth and Mahomes Sr can’t stay out of trouble. This is a celebrity boxing match made in heaven, that is if Mahomes Sr’s probation officer will even allow it…

Well, John Rocker vs Patrick Mahomes Sr. is now a Rough ‘N’ Rowdy fight. It’s official according to Portnoy…Sure seems staged, huh?
