Remember how bad the Chicago White Sox were last season? The ChiSox took the crown as the worst worst team in modern MLB history, and somehow, the 2025 Colorado Rockies are on a much worse pace than the 2024 White Sox.
On Saturday, things somehow reached a new low for a team that was a horrific 6-32 entering the game. But, they lost by an astonishing score of 21-0 to the Padres, and their fans were despondent.
The Rockies have been dreadful since winning 91 games in 2018. they’ve lost 101 and 103 games the last two years as the roster, which used to at least have some talent in the lineup, is pretty much devoid of all talent. The Kris Bryant free agent deal, a $182 million deal over 7 years signed prior to the 2022 season, has been one of the worst deals in baseball history. He’s barely played due to back issues, and it’s crippled the franchise.
At 6-32, their 162-game pace was a horrific 36-126. That is considerably worse than Chicago’s 41-121 record last year. It does hurt them that they play in what might be the best division in baseball with the Dodgers, Padres, Giants, and Diamondbacks. But, they’re just plain bad.
People are still showing up to the ballpark, because Coors Field rules. But, getting beat 21-0 to fall to 6-33 has taken everything out of a fan base that is used to losing.
As a Colorado native it is absolutely embarrassing that people still go to the games then complain about how bad they are. STOP GOING YOU IDIOTS. YOU ARE THE REASON THE MONFORTS WONT SELL. STOP ATTENDING AND GIVING THEM MONEY #rockies

If you owned the @Rockies and you could draw almost 40,000 people to “watch” a 21-0 loss, why would you ever alter your business plan? Change starts with the fan… pic.twitter.com/sWIIl2u2nJ

This organization needs to be checked for fraud. This is absolutely disgusting and Colorado fans need to stop showing up

The Rockies, who are ineligible to pick in the top nine of next year’s draft, actually won on Sunday, beating the Padres, 9-3. Soon after they fired manager Bud Black.
The Colorado Rockies fired manager Bud Black after a brutal 7-33 start. Black was in his ninth year as Rockies manager and had a career record with Colorado of 544-690.

The farm system isn’t good either. There is basically no hope for Rockies fans.
