Arizona Cardinals cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting has taken to social media to deny rumors that he’s dating podcaster and internet personality Bobbi Althoff. Althoff first achieved viral fame a few years back with her intentionally awkward interviews with rappers such as Drake and Lil Yachty.
Sean Murphy-Bunting and Bobbi Althoff have been spotted together a handful of times this year, leading to speculation about the nature of their relationship. The maybe-real, maybe-fake news about the pair’s relationship was posted by engagement farming X accounts, which prompted a response from the Cardinals cornerback.
Earlier this year, video obtained by TMZ showed Murphy-Bunting carrying a passed-out drunk Althoff out of a Nashville bar, fueling speculation of a relationship between the two.
“Last night was scary but thankful for having good friends in my life like SMB (Sean Murphy-Bunting) for looking out for me,” Althoff wrote on Instagram after the incident.
UPDATE: Bobbi Althoff was OUT COLD at the bar when #Cardinals CB Sean Murphy-Bunting carried her out.
Althoff & SMB have since been hanging out and she has now thanked him…

After unreliable X, formerly Twitter, accounts such as Dov Kleiman and FearedBuck claimed that the pair had made their relationship official, Murphy-Bunting responded to claim the person in the video with Althoff is not him

The reaction on social media seems to doubt Murphy-Bunting, however, with the top reply being the “Why you always lying?” meme.

Althoff was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 – Media list for 2025 and reportedly made “approximately $2.9 million from August 2023 to August 2024.”
Althoff, host of The Really Good Podcast, achieved viral fame in 2023 following interviews with rappers such as Drake and Lil Yachty. The Drake interview went particularly viral as the pair recorded the interview while sitting in a bed.
Murphy-Butting, 27 years old, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 39th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and spent four seasons in Florida. In 2023, he played with the Tennessee Titans before signing a three-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals ahead of the 2024 season.
