TCU women’s basketball star Sedona Prince went undrafted in the 2025 WNBA selection process despite boasting a second-round grade. The forward was snubbed by professional teams due to a variety of different reasons.

The 6-foot-7 senior averaged 17.6 points and 9.4 rebounds in her final season to help the Horned Frogs reach the Elite Eight. She led the nation with 3.0 blocks a night to land All-American status.

That Elite Eight run was the first in program history. Prince had a large role in the team’s success. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t result in a draft pick.

Prince heard the name of teammates Hailey Van Lith and Madison Conner called on Monday night. She did not hear her own. On- and off-field concerns played a part.

Sedona Prince has been in college for seven years. The 24-year-old initially signed with Texas as a member of the 2018 recruiting class. After sustaining a broken leg, she missed the entire year.

She then transferred to Oregon, where she played from 2019-2022 before arriving at TCU for two seasons. Age and injury history are legitimate worries, but maybe not the biggest deterrent.

At least 4 women have publicly accused Sedona Prince of assault or partner violence.

One of those women, Olivia Stabile, took to TikTok to detail her alleged experience on a trip to Mexico with her then-girlfriend. In a 10-part series, she accused Prince of both emotional and physical abuse.

On that birthday trip, Stabile claimed that Prince punched her in the chest, shoved her against a wall, and pushed her off the back of an ATV over the course of their stay.

Prince denied the allegations at the time, but said, “I know that I haven’t been the best partner, and I take accountability for that,” in a story by the Washington Post.

Stabile was vocal about the alleged abuse. After seeing the forward go undrafted, she posted a response on TikTok.

Sedona Prince has not been charged of a crime. She played in 37 of the Horned Frogs’ 38 games this past season, and at a very high level.

Still, off-the-court allegations played a role in her WNBA Draft omission. It will be interesting to see her next move.
