Shedeur Sanders is likely going to be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft but his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, might prevent him from playing for the team that drafts him. This is obviously something to watch as April nears closer by the day.
Will the Sanders family patriarch intervene if things do not play out how he wants?!
The current draft order projects three opportunities for a quarterback to be selected with the first three picks. Tennessee is likely going to move on from Will Levis and Mason Rudolph. Cleveland may choose to add a signal-caller with Deshaun Watson’s health status in limbo. The New York Giants need to replace Daniel Jones.
From there, Las Vegas could go quarterback at No. 6 or the Jets could get crazy at No. 7. Pittsburgh also picks at No. 22 and will need to make a decision on Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
Shedeur Sanders is considered one of the three-best NFL Draft prospects at his position. Either he or Cam Ward is going to play for the Titans. Everything else is completely up in the air.
Only five, maybe six NFL teams are in immediate need of a new quarterback. Some of them will choose to go after a free agent like Sam Darnold, Mac Jones, Jameis Winston, Aaron Rodgers, Wilson or Fields. Some of them will draft a guy in the first round or hold off take a flier on someone like Kyle McCord on Day 2 or Day 3. This year’s class is weak.
Deion Sanders is not able to pick what team will draft his youngest son because that is not how it works. However, the 57-year-old head coach at Colorado is going to decide what teams will not draft his son. Or so he says.
Coach Prime already threatened to “pull an Eli Manning” if he does not approve of a specific NFL organization. He recently doubled down during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show.

Meanwhile, Shedeur addressed the NFL Draft order on his podcast and said that he is “happy” with the results. His faith is in the Lord.
