Steph Curry Uses ‘Night-Night’ Pose In 3rd Quarter, Doesn’t Return To Game In Blowout

Even though he about to turn 37, Steph Curry is still one of the toughest assignments for any NBA defense. The Golden State Warriors shooting savant can heat up in a hurry, just as he has been able to his whole career.

On Sunday, Curry and the Warriors took on former Splash Brother Klay Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks. Curry went off, and put the game to bed in the 3rd quarter with his famous taunt.

The Warriors entered Sunday afternoon’s game as winners of four of five since newly-acquired Jimmy Butler joined the lineup after a trade deadline move landed him in the Bay Area. And, they kept their winning ways going, as the smacked the depleted Mavericks, 126-102.

Steph Curry was fantastic. He had 30 points, was 12/20 from the field, and consistently caused issues for Dallas’s defense. The Jimmy Butler-Steph Curry pairing is off to a great start.

Steph Curry has long used the “night-night” taunt after hitting big shots late in games to put games away. But, he used it on Sunday, and it wasn’t all that early in the game, relatively. He hit the celebration in the 3rd quarter, and didn’t return to the game after. And, he did it in the face of PJ Washington, who did it to the Warriors earlier this month.

That’s savage, Steph.

With the win, Golden State is just 1/2 game back of Dallas for the 7th seed in the West, and just 1.5 back of the sixth-seeded Clippers to avoid the Play-In Tournament altogether.
