Taulia Tagovailoa is currently unemployed. The younger brother of Tua Tagovailoa refuses to give up on his professional football career even though the door keeps getting slammed in his face.

He is currently searching for his next opportunity.

Tagovailoa was demoted from the European League of Football to the Indoor Football League in just the last few months. Neither stint with the Hamburg Sea Devils nor the Massachussetts Pirates went well.

Who is Taulia Tagovailoa?

Tua’s little brother began his career as a four-star prospect in the college football recruiting Class of 2019 at Alabama. He later transferred to Maryland and broke all kinds of records.

Taulia Tagovailoa threw for more than 3,000 yards in three-straight seasons with 77 total touchdowns in 46 games. The Terrapins went 22-18 during his time as the starter.

Tagovailoa opted out of the Music City Bowl as a fifth-year senior to focus on his NFL career but he did not get drafted. The Seattle Seahawks gave him a tryout at minicamp and chose to pass.

The international man of mystery…

With nowhere else to go, Tagovailoa signed with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League. That did not go well either.

The two-time All-Big Ten selection dressed in only eight games and completed just one pass for six yards with three carries for 10 yards and one touchdown. He was released by the TiCats that next year.

Taulia Tagovailoa signed with the Hamburg Sea Devils of the European League of Football at the end of May. His debut was a disaster.

The 25-year-old threw a horrendous pick-six on his very first pass attempt. He and Hamburg parted ways after less than one full month.

11 days later, Tagovailoa signed with the Massachussetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League. He went 0-for-3 on his first three pass attempts in the IFL. His first official start was even worse.

Tagovailoa ran for 61 yards and two touchdowns but he completed only eight of 17 attempts with three interceptions. The first touchdown run of his IFL career was savage.

However, the Pirates could not overcome the three interceptions and lost its last game of the season by 15. Brutal.

Taulia Tagovailoa is currently unemployed because he cannot stop throwing picks. Will he get another shot?
