With no time left in the game, Tennessee’s kicker Max Gilbert missed a 43-yard field goal that would have won the game for the Vols.

Georgia scored a touchdown in overtime, just minutes later, to win the game.

Vols’ head coach Josh Heupel spoke about the heartbreaking loss after the game.
“Give Georgia credit for finishing it. Our players.. I love the fight, the willingness to keep battling. End of the day, coaches and players have to be a little bit better to win that football game.”
“Soak this in tonight, let it hurt. When the players come back in on Monday, whether you win or lose, it’s about how you get better.”
